Nestled in the residential heart of Hounslow, The George offers an authentic slice of Georgian cuisine that transports diners to the vibrant culinary landscape of Eastern Europe. While the modest exterior—as noted by first-time visitor Pavel Shurkin—may suggest a casual Georgian pub, stepping inside reveals a warm, cosy atmosphere paired with lovingly crafted dishes that capture the essence of Georgia’s rich food heritage.
The menu at The George showcases a beautiful array of traditional favorites that excite the palate and satisfy the soul. Star dishes like the Cheese Khinkali—Georgian dumplings bursting with rich, melty cheese—and the hearty Soup Harcho, a spicy, saffron-infused broth, embrace you with depth of flavor and authenticity. For those seeking vibrant freshness, the Greek Salad and Caprese Salad offer crisp, bright notes, while the Avocado Toast adds a modern touch to the menu. The presence of thoughtfully paired beverages such as robust Red Wine and crisp Cider round out the dining experience, enhancing each bite.
Guests frequently praise the generous portion sizes, with Софья Кох sharing how their table was overwhelmed—in the best possible way—by the sheer abundance and quality of dishes like khinkali, khachapuri, and lulja kebab. The George’s dedication to authenticity resonates strongly with those who have tasted Georgian cuisine before, making it a standout destination even for seasoned aficionados like Mathew Tate, who deems it the best Georgian food outside Eastern Europe.
The ambience is intimate and inviting, amplified by attentive and friendly staff who elevate the overall experience. Olesia Burbylo’s description of The George as “very cosy” with “incredible” food speaks to the genuine warmth and hospitality that make every visit memorable.
In sum, The George is not just a restaurant, but a heartfelt celebration of Georgian flavors and traditions, set in a welcoming environment that invites you to linger over every delicious bite. Whether you're a curious newcomer or a connoisseur of this storied cuisine, The George promises a culinary journey filled with bold tastes, comforting textures, and a true sense of place.

Well, first time to the Georgian restaurant in London for me was not too bad! But as it happens could be better first you will never say from the outside that it has Georgian roots apart from the flag of course! Turned to be “Georgian pub” in Hounslow near the residential area. We went as a family for lunch. Food was AMAZING! London prices of course but tasty and genuinely felt Georgian
The pasta carbonara was rich and creamy, made with real pancetta and fresh parmesan. The portion size was generous, and the flavor was authentic — just like something you’d get in Rome. The only minor issue was that it arrived slightly warm, not hot.
Amazing place, very cosy, food is incredible. Very friendly and kind staff.
Absolutely amazing Georgian food, the best I’ve had outside of Eastern Europe
The food is simply incredible, the portions are huge, we couldn't even eat everything, we had to take it with us! We tried traditional standard dishes of Georgian cuisine, such as khinkali, khachapuri, lulja kebab. We have tried Georgian cuisine in many places, but this is currently our top 1! Special thanks for the Ukrainian flag on the bar. Freedom to Ukraine, Freedom to Georgia!
This is by far one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. We travelled all the way from East London to have dinner here, and we don't regret it one bit. It was well worth the journey. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was amazing and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We were served by the lovely waitress Mariami, who gave us the best recommendations for food and wine. Also, they gave us complementary chocolate Khinkali, delicious! We will definitely be returning here many more times.
A spectacular dinner. I wasn't very familiar with Georgian cuisine, but the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in recommending what to order. The food was delicious and comforting, and the Georgian wine was a real discovery. A great place to go with friends and share several dishes.
Amazing Delightful Experience! I had the pleasure of dining at this Georgian restaurant last night, and it was an unforgettable experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable. I started with khachapuri (cheese-filled bread), and it was delicious—perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. To top it off, the wine selection was fantastic, especially the local Georgian wines. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to experience authentic Georgian cuisine!
